A Jewish Fate in Recollections by a Father and His Daughter

At Christmas 1938, the Jewish family Furst escaped from Vienna all the way through Western Europe to Manchester; in the 1970s daughter Lilian and her father Desider finally moved to the USA. Both wrote about their memories of that time, independently of each other, and Lilian has now combined their recollections for this book. Because it shows us two distinct versions of the same original story, this "double" autobiography constitutes a very special historical document.
