The Magic of Privacy

What We lose, if We Show Ourselves

"Self-disclosure is a liberation of the self!" This principle applies for Rousseau as much as for the Facebook community. But it appears to be a paradox that the rampant urge to confess seems to endanger our very privacy. Martin Simons explores how we deal with the controversial aspects of friendship, narcissism, fear and shame. He shows us quite plainly, that we will remain alienated from ourselves if we don't adopt a thoughtful and caring attitude.
