The Perfectionists

Why the Optimisation Craze Harms Us - and Who Actually Makes a Profit From It

More and more people strive for a perfect life for themselves and their children - whether it be regarding fitness, beauty, academic success at school or a successful career. Klaus Werle shows us who really profits from this: a whole industry of private educational providers such as tutoring agencies, private schools or career coaches. Yet this craze for perfectionism has dangerous consequences for the individual, the economy and society as a whole. Werle exposes the flaw in the logic of perfectionism: a timely reckoning.
